A great deal of pressure is needed to force the CO2 gas to go thru the ceramic disk. A lot of times, DIY yeast reactor fail to produce bubble because either there is a leak in the DIY reactor itself, most likely the connection between the container and the tubing, or the yeast reaction isn’t producing enough gas.
Warning: Please use this product on DIY reactor with caution and at your own risk. If a CO2 professional setup is used. Please consult your manufacturer’s guideline for installation and testing.
Tips 1: Make sure that all your connections are air sealed and pressure proved by spray some water detergent mix onto your connections to check for leaks.
Tips 2: Please make sure that your yeast reacting is producing gas by put the gas hose into the water without the diffuser, if you see bubbles coming out into the water, it’s producing CO2 gas.
Stand up right, (see diagram) with the tube nozzle facing upward at 90 degrees toward the surface of the water. Place the diffuser with a suction cup securely against your tank wall, this way, the CO2 bubbles can emit toward the diffuse disk. If you lean it to the side, it would be harder for the air/co2 to escape from the diffuse disk.
Filled as much water inside the diffuser as possible, preferably above the end of Spiral Glass. When you first place the diffuser in the tank, place the diffuser in the tank water without attach anything in the deepest part of your tank, gradually water pressure of the tank water will force water into the diffuser. If the diffuser is empty, it will require a much higher CO2 pressure to push CO2 bubbles out of the diffuser disk, and the spiral glass will not work.
Tips 3: You can speed this process up by put an air hose onto the nozzle while the diffuser is in the water and suck the water into the diffuser. Just make sure you watch the water line so that you don't drink the tank water.
NOTE: There is a small hole at where the spiral bubble counter tube and the U shaped gas tube meets.  THIS is NOT a defect. The hole is necessary for the spiral bubble counter tube to work. By mixing in water in the glass chamber and the CO2 gas being fed into the bubble counter tube, it creates an intermittent effect of gas and water in the gas stream to become a bubble stream.
Please note, the suction cup used in the picture below is a little different than the one included. The suction included will hold the diffuser glass tube instead of the air tube.
This is a product that is meant for serious aquatic user, It is not a toy for children. Keep it out of reach of a child. It may seem fun and game for a child to play but I just don't see how this item being safe and sound in the hand of a minor.
