We work with local miners and acquire raw stones regularly. We scraped this piece made it smooth and polished it at our workshop. The clarity and natural color of the finished piece can be seen in the photos. You can be assured that this type amber has been confirmed genuine by established gemologists. Chiapas amber is well known to geologists and scientific authorities. It is acknowledged to be from the Miocene to Oligocene geological Epochs dating from 18 to 25 million years old. Like all authentic Mexican amber it will glow green or blue when looked at in the in the sunlight and a very strong blue green under ultraviolet light.
