Vintage Saint Bernard Dog Hand Painted on Wood cutting board 1976

Description

Vintage 1976 oil painting by Phil Best of a Saint Bernard on a hanging wood roast cutting board.  Wood measures 14 inches tall by 10 inches wide x 3/4 inch thick... it is a true roast cutting board transformed into a painting.   The hanger is about 1 1/2 inch tall.
This was painted by a friend of my fathers in 1976 when I was a child.  My father was a St. Bernard enthusiast who had multiple that he raised, bred and had ribbons and trophies from showing his dogs.   The painter Phil Best was well known in the Pacific NorthWest American Kennel Club Dog Show circuit during the 1970s and early 80s.
